County Championship delight for Yorkshire
Luke Hooley, Cameron Adleigh, Caden Wilkinson, John Bownass and Jacob Crosswell all pulled on the representative jersey and were left brimming with pride following last week’s title deciding 32-14 victory over Lancashire at Leigh.
They were joined in the squad by winger Joe Halloran of Shaw Cross Sharks.

Hide AdThe White Rose had run out 42-8 winners over Cumbria at Sharlston the previous week, when Crosswell was among their try scorers, while Lancashire set up the decider by also beating Cumbria,
Yorkshire had gone close to glory in the previous two seasons, losing by one point in the 2012 title decider and just two points last year, before making it third time lucky.
Yorkshire took control playing down the slope in the first half and raced into a 24-6 interval lead.
Lancashire had a better second half but the Yorkshire team were resolute and in no mood to let the title slip, closing out an impressive win to spark the title celebrations.

Hide AdCrosswell followed up his try scoring display against Cumbria with a brace against the Red Rose, while Moor teammate Hooley also crossed for a try.
Halloran made several try saving tackles when Lancashire piled on the pressure.
Jack Townend, from Featherstone, scored his first try for Yorkshire.
Castleford’s Joe Willock landed six goals from as many attempts and was named man-of-the-match.

Hide AdYorkshire were coached by Brett Turner, of Shaw Cross, who explained that over 100 lads trialed for the county before a final squad of 26 was selected.
Dewsbury Moor Under-16s, who the Yorkshire contingent play for, travel to Eastmoor in the Yorkshire Cup first round on Sunday.
Birstall Victoria are away to Hunslet Warrior Bulls and Dewsbury Celtic travel to Skirlaugh.
The Yorkshire Under-18s Cup has been redrawn after some clubs put their team in at the wrong age group.

Hide AdDewsbury Moor will now entertain Upton on Sunday, with Dewsbury Celtic and Shaw Cross Sharks receiving byes, along with East Leeds, Hunslet Warriors, Siddal, Lock Lane, Stanningley and West Hull.
The second round will be played on November 16 and semi-finals on November 30, with the final scheduled to take place on December 27 or 28 as a curtain raiser to the Open Age Yorkshire Cup Final.
